Noir

After I made my weekly trip to my comic book store, I found this:
Noir - A Collection of Crime Comics by by Brian Azzarello (Author), Ed Brubaker (Author), Stefano Gaudiano (Author), Fabio Moon (Author), Gabriel Ba (Author) and others.

Wow!!! Can it get better then this?
Some of the best artist and authors in the industry applying their skills to my favorite genre.

I believe film noir and its visual style came from German Expressionist cinematography.

I cannot wait to read it and hope you will pick this up as well.

Death @ 92

Irving Penn, whose iconic images spanned time, dies at 92 in his Manhattan Apt. Wednesday night Oct 7th 2009.
His photography was mesmerizing and beautifully artistic.
The images that appeared in the pages of Vogue, brought fame and fortune.
I personally am a huge fan of B/W photography, so his photos drew my attention.

Super Spy

I don't really have anything to blog about myself or any of my work, but I thought I share a wonderful book I just discovered. "Super Spy" by Matt Kindt.
Short stories of the life of a spy during World War II. I am mesmerized about each page. Very innocently illustrated, but on a mature level. If you should see this in your local book store, pick it up cause it's a good read.
